Please join us for the 14th Telephone Telephone event, Friday, September 15, 5:30pm, at Center for Book Arts, for the first of a three part series entitled A book is a brick, on the connection between books and exhibitions, considering how each can compel action and collectivity. For our first meeting, we will be exploring Center for Book Arts’ collection, and discussing alternative uses and misuses of the book form.
The reading for the meeting will be Ulises Carrión’s The New Art of Making Books, originally published in Kontexts no. 6-7, 1975, and was printed by Center for Book Arts in 1975 at the request of the author and distributed free to the Center’s members.
