Szilvia Szmuk-Tanenbaum
Dr. Szilvia Szmuk-Tanenbaum’s active participation in the field of book arts includes her career as a special collections librarian at St. John’s University; her position as a director of the Pine Tree Foundation; and her role as the creator and director of Comedias Sueltas USA, a unique resource for scholars researching Spanish theater, book history, and print culture in Iberia before the machine press period. She holds a PhD in Spanish literature from the Graduate Center at the City University of New York, and is an active member of the Grolier Club and the Association Internationale de Bibliophilie.
She served on the Board of Center for Book Arts from 2010 to 2022, and is now a Member Emeritus.
